You may have remembered around the tail end of last year we sent the good folk over at Guitar & Bass Magazine a few sets of McNelly Pickups to check out. They chose the T-Bar, Stagger Swagger and The Sparkletron to scrutineer, and if you missed those issues in paper form, all three reviews are now available to read online!

We have some really cool pickups pass through our hands, this set is certainly one of those.
I spotted McNelly making some 'Unplated' finishes for custom orders, so upon placing a stock order I put in the request to have some for here in the UK! So this set is technically a custom order, but is in stock & ready to ship.

It's almost time! 
This has come along very quickly, which to be honest is a great thing as we're itching to get started. We've got so many things planned for this and it's shaping up to be a great show.

We're taking along a real nice array of new and vintage guitars, even Mandolins & Lap Steels too! Amplifiers, Slides, Straps & accessories too.

Some of the guitars we're taking have been fitted up with a range of McNelly Pickups for you folks to get stuck into, I'm really looking forward to seeing and hearing your reactions to them, it's going to be fun! I also have a wide array pickups to have a look at, see the quality and the detail that makes them so special.

We're proudly showcasing the awesome Overdrive Straps. These retro vibe straps have caused a stir and are gathering a huge following. We're taking a nice range of their designs so pop by and have a look!

Shows like this are great to get your hands on items you've heard lots about, but are yet to see in person. One of those items may well be Gravity Picks, and we'll have hundreds with us! 

Diamond Bottlenecks have been super super busy making lots of their beautiful Lead Crystal 'Ultimate' model guitar slides for us to showcase, so if you're after a quality slide and want to try a few to see which fit nicely. Come and visit us! We have lots to try, and also some demo models of my own to try out on the variety of slide guitars we'll have with us.

We're also proudly housing the great hand forged items from 'Elder Sign Forge'. All of these items are unique, hand crafted & forged locally and Jake, the owner & maker has put together some great music/guitar related items for us to showcase! 

We're really looking forward to hanging out with everyone, meeting new people and sharing what we do. It means a great deal to us to be there, amongst the sea of fantastic names in the guitar world. It's going to be a great experience! Make sure you pop along to meet us and see what we do here, I promise we'll make you feel at home! (We have coffee & biscuits, we know how to look after us both!)

This feature was a couple of months in the making, and a project I am really proud to be a part of after becoming UK main dealer for McNelly.
I got in touch with the guys at Guitar & Bass magazine to see if they were interested in spotlighting some of the great McNelly Pickup models now I'm offering them here in the UK and they jumped at it! I'm a big fan of what this magazine is achieving these days, their approach is truly representing the direction of the guitar world right now. Both favouring the usual big name brands as much as the boutique makers, which is great to see.
After discussing some of the range of pickups available, they decided to go with three sets which was great news. The T-Bar Tele P90 set, the Stagger Swagger & the Sparkletron. The man set to review them was their all round tech man, Huw Price. He was fitting the T-Bar into a tradition Tele, maple neck, Swamp ash body etc, The Stagger Swaggers into a Les Paul and finally the Sparkletrons into a La Cabronita, so a real nice mix!
After a few chats about the finer details of each model, I was really looking forward to reading what Huw had to say about these models. He picked up on all the details I was hoping he would, those tones, nuances and build quality details that make McNelly so great.
If you get chance, make sure you drop by a newsagents, super market etc and pick up this months copy. It's a great read, aside from the pickup review! I particularly love the original '56 feature too. Really proud to see pickups we offer from Home of Tone featured in this great mag.
