This is an incredibly popular modification for Telecaster owners, due to it's ease of install and improvement over the original 'cup' jackplate design. Made from plated brass, this retrofit jackplate is held in place by two supplied angled screws, which greatly reduces the chances of your jackplate coming loose like the original design! I personally see this as a must-do mod to a Tele. It's direct fitment, and importantly secure for your jack socket. Ideal!
Simply drill the two mounting screw holes, thread the jack into the retrofit socket, and screw it in place to hold the jack firmly.
These will fit the USA Imperial spec Switchcraft mono jack sockets and Pure Tone multi contact jack sockets that I supply also. It won’t fit metric size and thread jack sockets sometimes found on far east made lower budget instruments.
These are also popular with pedalboard builders too, creating a nice simple solution to direct side jacks commonly used on nice boards!
